YOUTH4CLIMATE CONCERT 2020

Premiered on 21 August 2020

Due to COVID-19, CDL’s annual Youth4Climate Festival went virtual in 2020 in the form of an online concert. The concert aimed to galvanise greater climate awareness and action through various climate-themed performances by youths. We lined up six acts in our concert reflecting our youths’ concerns and aspirations for the future of our planet.

“How Far I’ll Go” from Moana, Strings Ensemble (Ages 12 to 16)

“Tomorrow”, Original Piano Composition by Toby Tan (Age 12)

“Swan Lake” by Tchaikovsky, Ballet Performance by Le Grand School of Dance (Ages 14 to 17)

“Earth Song” by Michael Jackson, Modern Dance by Victoria Ng and Clarisse Choo (Ages 16 and 19)

“Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas, Piano and Song Duet by Marie Mae Wong and Verlene Chew (Ages 15)

“What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong, Handsbell Performance by Ministry of Bellz (Ages 16 to 25)

To commemorate Singapore’s 55th birthday, the half-hour long Youth4Climate Concert not only supported climate action, but also rallied youths to support social causes through the 2020 President’s Challenge.
