CDL SDG Value-Add Circle
Embracing the SDGs for a healthy triple bottom line and circularity
In the age of a climate emergency, the global race to net zero has never been more urgent. With buildings and construction accounting for some 40% of global emissions, the built sector is pivotal in the transition towards a low-carbon future.
CDL’s World Green Building Council’s Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment and more ambitious carbon emissions reduction targets assessed and validated by the Science Based Target initiative marks a leap forward in our decarbonisation commitment.
With unwavering leadership dedication from the Board and top management for over two decades, we are poised to forge ahead in the new climate economy and build a better world for future generations.
CDL’s Integrated Sustainability Report 2024 is our 17th sustainability report since 2008. Themed “Zero in on Nature”, the digital report communicates CDL’s progress towards our material ESG goals and targets, established under the CDL Future Value 2030 sustainability blueprint. External assurance is key to enhance data credibility and instill confidence in readers. CDL’s external assurance of our sustainability report started in 2009 and has continued to expand. ISR 2023 and ISR 2024’s external assurance has been further elevated in its scope against the GRI Standards, SASB Standards, as well as the TCFD and CDSB frameworks.
This year CDL became the first Singapore company to commit to nature-related disclosures based on the TNFD Recommendations in this report.
This year, CDL remains the world’s most sustainable real estate managements and development company and Singapore’s most sustainable company for the sixth consecutive year on Corporate Knights’ 2024 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World.
Youths today are the leaders of tomorrow. Recognising that they play a pivotal role in a sustainable future, CDL strives to engage, educate and empower youths in the battle against the climate crisis. Everyone can make a big difference, no matter how young.
