“CHANGE THE PRESENT, SAVE THE OCEAN.” CLIMATE ACTION EXHIBITION

As the world faces climate and health emergencies, the urgency of climate action has never been more evident. The health of the ocean, in particular, is interconnected with climate change and thereby the health of people and the planet.

CDL, NParks and Ocean Geographic have jointly launched an exhibition themed “Change the Present, Save the Ocean” on marine conservation at the net-zero CDL Green Gallery in the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Running from 12 April 2022 to 19 March 2023, the exhibition showcases Singapore’s commitment towards coastal and marine conservation in line with the Singapore Green Plan 2030, which includes the restoration and enhancement of forest, marine and coastal habitats.

Leveraging contactless interactive displays, the exhibition takes visitors across four zones:

  1. Global Action: Protecting the Ocean, Our Life Source
  2. Local Action: Marine Conservation in Singapore
  3. The Private Sector: CDL and the Green Building Movement
  4. Your Part in Ocean Action

The opening ceremony featured sharings by and a Q&A session with Guest-of-Honour Mr Desmond Lee, Minister for National Development and Special Guest Dr Sylvia Earle, world-renowned marine biologist and one of Time magazine’s “Heroes for the Planet”.
