In the lead up to World Environment Day 2020, CDL and the National Library Board (NLB) jointly organised My Tree House’s Eco Storytelling Contest for children from 3 to 12 years of age. The inaugural contest aimed to promote family bonding through storytelling during the circuit breaker period, as well as to encourage young eco champions and their families to develop their love for nature and to take action to protect the planet.

We hope the world will hear our children’s love for our planet and their actions to protect Mother Earth through a special video titled “We Love our Planet – Voices of our Children”.

Nathaniel Eng, 3½ years old

Take a moment to watch our video and be inspired to make small changes in the way we live, work and play. Produced by CDL and 2019 CDL E-Generation winner and award-winning filmmaker Ang Qing Sheng, “We Love Our Planet – Voices of our Children” captures some of the best clips from the winners and finalists of My Tree House’s Eco Storytelling Contest.

It was a tough job to select the winners and here is a big “THANK-YOU” to our panel of judges, Ms Raneetha Rajaratnam from the National Library BoardDr Audrey Chia from NUS Business School; Ms Kamini Ramachandran from MoonShadow Stories and The Storytelling Centre Limited; Ms Rachel Kelly from SPH Radio; and Ms Esther An from CDL.
